There are many traders in the world that make money each year. The trick is learning how to construct very low-risk trades and also how to lock in your profits when you have them. Have fun!

Hi, good point, and we do have some positive vega trades that take advantage of a rising volatility and a moving market. We have been developing something very different than a short condor or short butter, and it's one of our favorite strategies in this highly volatile market.

Hi, yes, Condors create a negative Vega spread, so we prefer to use them when vols are neutral or falling. So oviously, you can construct the opposite type of trade when the vols are rising. Thank you for your comment.

Morris, since Condors and Butterflies are better suited for stagnant markets, why not use INVERTED Condors and Butterflies in this market, which are better suited for volatile markets? Your Nameless strategy looks like 2 Butterflies joined at the hip! |
